Well, actually I think Hilly may be finished but will put her to one side for a day or so. Its difficult to 'tweak' work on drafting film as I'm nearly at pencil saturation point but I'm sure I'll be making some minor adjustments before signing her off.
She really is a very bright coloured dog .... obviously this isn't the ref. pic I worked from but it shows the colouring nicely.
She looks gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteI can't imagine she will need any tweaking as she looks perfect to me. The pose is perfect as she looks alert and regal!
ReplyDeleteshe is such an interesting colour, you did a good job with the fur and shadows :D
ReplyDeleteThanks Jo, Jan and Jennifer (three Js)!
ReplyDeleteHilly is absolutely gorgeous. She's just 10 months old and I took lots of photos of her on a really bright sunny afternoon so her coat just glowed. She's a real sweetie
She sort of jumped out of the page like 3D!
ReplyDeleteGreat finish Sue, she looks gorgeous. Something about drafting film that really intensifies the colours. I like!
ReplyDeleteThanks Polly .... she's much too well behaved for that LOL
ReplyDeleteYou're right Bev - I always think eyes look brighter - especially if using white backing sheet.
Quick question about Fisher paper, I asked you in a reply to a comment but just in case you don't get it, have you tried wetting the paper? Says you can, but not sure what it will do. Need to see if anyone has that I know :)
ReplyDeleteHi Jennifer
ReplyDeleteI've done a watercolour background for a coloured pencil meerkat on Fisher 400 and it was fine but I didn't soak the paper just brushed an 'abstract' green effect for speed.
Don't know how it would cope with very wet application though
Hope that helps
it does, thank you :D
ReplyDeleteBeautifully done, Sue!!! Love her orange coloring.
