So here's a topical message from Gizmo - a beautiful cat I portrayed a couple of years ago (pastel on Fisher 400 paper).
Just click the start arrow and sing along (not)!!

Congratulations on your full order book! (But, really, you could have gone all year without the singing cat! Cute though.)
ReplyDeleteChristmas? So Soon? Oh dear Sue....there is no help for you I'm afraid. LOL!!
ReplyDeleteHow wonderful to have all those commissions! And I love Laurel and Hardy! That came out so well. What a great idea to do the pencils like an old photo! Your work is brilliant!
ReplyDeleteYep, I'd cancel Christmas if I had my way ..... bah humbug!!
ReplyDeleteHowever, I have some great refs to work from and am looking forward to 'getting stuck in'
Wonderful! I remember your work from previous years Sue... You have gotten even MORE amazing, and I thought you were wonderful then!
ReplyDeleteDeb I'm very flattered by your lovely comments. As you know I'm a fan of your stunning miniature works and appreciate your visiting my Blog!
ReplyDeleteps: I heard back from Gizmo's 'Mum & Dad' that they creased up laughing when they watched Gizmo sing. I just thought I'd check with them that they didn't mind me animating her image :-)
Now THAT made me smile... laugh, actually! So cute!
ReplyDeleteNot surprised your commission book is full..you're one awesome artist!
Congratulations on all your commissions, Sue! Looking forward to seeing some of the work!!
ReplyDeleteThanks so much Teresa and Hilda :-)
ReplyDeleteIts always a funny time of year - lots of work but on the go but not always possible to show it .. so the Blogs tend to be full of recipes and other non-arty posts !
CONGRATULATIONS on all of those commissions! I love your animation -- how did you learn to do that? Another great achievement! Sorry, I haven't visited in awhile, will have a look around.
ReplyDeleteHi Angela
ReplyDeleteLovely to 'see you back' and thanks for commenting. I can't take the credit for the animation I'm afraid, I just found a simple bit of 'ready made' code. I've animated a couple of other pictures but am holding back on those for now :-)
Congratulations on your full diary of commissions. Not surprising as you work is awesome.
ReplyDeleteGlad your having fun at your holiday home.
Great photos. Thanks so much for sharing.
Congrats on the commissions! Better start painting! I love the black lab portrait, can't wait to see it finished, and I'm sorry to laugh about the best laid plans... but I'm glad I'm not the only one who sometimes gets sidetracked from what she wants to accomplish!
ReplyDeleteCongragulations on your commissions! When I saw the date of your post, I thought I lost over a month of my time. :( Guess you are a way ahead of me.
ReplyDeleteYour talking photo is too CUTE. Did you draw several different versions of it to achieve this? I would love to know how to make talking photos.
Have a great holiday season!!
Beautiful paintings! Just love the cats! :)
ReplyDeleteHi Sue, You have just been awarded the versatile Bloggers Award. Congartulations. :-)
