This little girl, Amira, is just 9 years old and self-taught. She learned to sing opera by watching/listening to YouTube clips apparently.
Here she is performing on Holland's Got Talent.
Wow! As you say, absolutely amazing. Lets hope her talent doesn't go to her head, but sadly I fear it will. I am never sure weather such talent is a blessing or a curse. But amazing never the less.
I'm sure she will be/has been snapped up by a producer by now.
I agree Bev that it could go either way. Lena Zavaroni comes to mind - stardom at 9 years and a lifetime of self-doubt and anorexia. She died in her 30s weighing just 3½ stone I think. But lots of other child proteges do well so I wish her all the best.
I don't actually watch these talent shows, just the videos when somebody special (Susan Boyle) takes the judges by surprise. But the judges all seem the same - over acting and OTT???
Thanks for visiting my Blog. Let me know what you think :-)

Oh my, she brought tears to my eyes.
ReplyDeleteI hope she gets the correct management behind her - someone who has her best at heart.
