Flat Coated Retriever ... WIP II

I got a little more work done today on the secret birthday/memorial portrait and emailed an update to my client

The picture made my client (and her daughter) cry apparently so think the likeness is OK.

That's the 'bittersweet' side of doing memorial portraits ... a bit of an emotional rollercoaster for the clients and the main reason I don't like to personally deliver pictures if I can help it (I'm such a wimp)!

Anyway, I won't have time to do more work on this till Tuesday so another update in a couple of days

Welcome Home, Sue!
This is coming along really well & I can see why the clients cried. I'm sure the husband/father will love it.

Nice to see you blogging.

Thanks Jan - looking forward to cracking on with this tomorrow (possibly even finishing it)!

The birthday is at the end of February but I hope to get the portrait delivered with plenty of time to spare.

Thank you Jo.
Its been a hectic month and we both had horrible colds/sinusitis bugs but we got everything achieved that we set out to do ... computer time/Blogging is severely restricted out there as we share a travel computer and our wifi (mifi) is erratic. Hope to catch up with Blog post reading over the next few days.

tears are a goof thing when it comes to pet portraits, well as long as they are tears of joy

she looks like a very sweet dog :)
