It doesn't have much tooth so not very good for coloured pencil or pastel work (although I have done a couple of cp works on it).

The paper Mike supplies is 250gsm although its available in different weights.Sue Clinkerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15582183867336673426noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8474048087216734753.post-37664933661426353972011-09-07T01:55:14.690+01:002011-09-07T01:55:14.690+01:00Sue, looks like a very informative workshop and th...Sue, looks like a very informative workshop and that you learned so much. I am always attracted to drawings in graphic pencil. Negative space is important too. What type of surface is mellotex paper? I've never heard of it.Kendrahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00209563488863063585noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8474048087216734753.post-37156667345948250282011-09-06T17:40:52.599+01:002011-09-06T17:40:52.599+01:00Well Mike's work is inspirational but I'm ...Well Mike's work is inspirational but I'm another one who probably couldn't spend 200+ hours on one picture - too short an attention span!

I'm also hoping Mike's tutoring will improve my cp techniques Pauline ... it certainly makes me think more about tones/shadows etc.Sue Clinkerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15582183867336673426noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8474048087216734753.post-26366239462831609412011-09-06T16:41:24.249+01:002011-09-06T16:41:24.249+01:00You have managed to get the bunny to stand out rea...You have managed to get the bunny to stand out really well amongst the other textures and I like the idea of the added grasses, looking forward to seeing it finished. Love it :D I would not be any good at spending 200 hours on a piece even if I wasn't doing commissions. I think there are those that can and those that can't ~ I fall into the latter, it would drive me mental!Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03252876587579985190noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8474048087216734753.post-65837240330287264122011-09-06T12:02:36.630+01:002011-09-06T12:02:36.630+01:00I think you're doing an amazing job with this....I think you're doing an amazing job with this.
